Verification Protocol
Follow these steps to ensure 100% compatibility before purchasing heavy-duty components.
01. Locate Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
The 17-digit VIN is the primary key to your vehicle's factory build sheet. Locate it on the lower driver-side dashboard, visible through the windshield, or on the driver's side door jamb sticker.
02. Decode Drivetrain Specifications
Not all parts are universal within a model year. You must verify:
- Engine Displacement (e.g., 5.3L vs 6.2L)
- Transmission Type (Manual, 4-Speed Auto, 6-Speed Auto)
- Drive Type (RWD vs 4WD/AWD)
03. Manual Measurement Verification
For items like brake rotors or U-joints, manufacturers sometimes change specs mid-production year. Use digital calipers to measure:
- Rotor Diameter and Thickness
- Shaft splines count
- Bolt hole patterns (PCD)
04. Cross-Reference Mount Points
Visually compare your existing part's electrical connectors (pin count, shape) and physical mounting brackets against our high-resolution catalog images before finalizing the order.
